Harry Reunion?

The weekend came and went. The major highlight was my reunion. We had some friends come to our place before the reunion and then we went. We should have stayed at our place. There were not many people at the bar that was chosen to host the reunion. Tiff and I were actually the last to leave the location, we closed the reunion down. Bad scheduling, bad location and the party planners were....well....not exactly party people.

Vacation Bible School started yesterday for Abbi and Elli. They are going to a Baptist church one of their best friends attends. We have basically given up on Grace Lutheran, no one wants to go there anymore, there have been so many changes in personnel.

Gabe continues football training with Central each morning. He had a swimming birthday party for a friend on Saturday and hit the movies on the Sunday night.

Wednesday is a big day for Tiffany and Gabe. Along with her sister Ally and husband David, the 5 of us will see the next installment of the Harry Potter series movie. They are very excited and are anxious about the new book. I enjoy the movies but have not read the books. I have stated many times that I will read them. We have already bought the movie tickets, it's that serious.

Friday

Friday is tomorrow. Lately I've grown tired of people of using the word Friday as an expression of how their Friday is going. Like when you ask someone on Friday..."How's it going?"...and they respond...."You know....Friday". Yeah, I know it's Friday, day after Thursday and day before Saturday.

We have an interesting weekend ahead. Abbi's last softball game is tomorrow, which ends our competitive game schedule for the summer. Gabe ended his Pony League baseball career last Saturday and Elli's Little League coach pitch season ended a couple weeks ago.

We have acquired a piano for our living room, it will sit right in front of our main window.
We are looking forward to learning how to play. With the helps of some friends, we will pick it up tomorrow.

This weekend is my 15 year high school class reunion. I am looking forward to seeing some friends, especially the ones that are coming from far away. Two of my best friends, Dave and Tom are coming from Colorado.

It is scheduled to be hot this weekend. I don't like the heat, especially the humidity. I wilt like leaf in a fire. There is one thing I like when it gets hot. That means our pool temperature will rise making swimming more enjoyable. The picture is Abbi and Elli swimming at Grandma's in Arizona. They are both talented swimmers. Abbi would live in the pool if you let her.

2 times 2

The 4th of July was fun. We grilled out, drink a little, let off some fireworks when it got dark and watched some crazy people on the TV try and eat as many hot dogs as they could without getting sick.

We also watched a family video taken 3 years ago on the 4th of July. We went fishing and watched fireworks in Durant, IA. Gabe, Abbi and Elli all caught fish at an alarming rate. I caught a couple of big ones that tasted good, real good. It's funny to laugh at the kids, they were so young and Gabe's voice was so hi-pitched.

2 times 2. That was what I thought of on Monday when I went to work. With the holiday in the middle of the week, the work week was two on for one off, two on for two off. Or something like that.

day 1

Since everyone around us is blogging, I figured we can do the same. It doesn't look that hard, and I can type fast.

You're probably wondering where I got the name of our blog from. It's a combination of the Ivanic and Milam names, I thought it looked better than Milnics.

Summer is going by fast, today is the 4th of July. I will soon start the grille for one of Tiffany's favorite's.....grilled cesar burgers. They are yummy.

This photo was taken from our trip to Tucson the first week of April to visit Grandma Ivanic. It was the best vacation ever. Hope we don't look to touristy.
